Wee Tiny Opportunism

Brain Drain is a lunchroom CEO. He has developed a cafeteria-based "business" that sounds more like a (food) pyramid scheme. It works like this:

Well dressed criminals.

If is a scary thought that our laws do not enforce the same punishment for all individuals.
Actually, sometimes I fear more the "well dressed criminal" people than the regular criminals. It is very scary out there because there are so many well dressed professionals who are scamming and being illegal.

Ethical contracting practices

Tagged:  •    •    •

I work for a contractor is SW Florida.  When I first took this job two years ago, I had worked in a completely different field, and I was worried about going to work for a contractor.  I had plenty of dealings with contractors in the past, and I couldn't think of one of them that didn't come across as "shady" or just plain unfair to customers.  I decided to take the job, and much to my delight, I came to work for one of the few contractors that was willing to do whatever it takes to do the right thing.  We would do the right thing even if it meant losing the job because of price due to the fact that the other guys are installing illegal equipment and will require more money later to make it right.  Maybe i'm just going to be the one to take the high road, but
