When I was little I was obsessed with the TV show "I Love Lucy." It's a 1950's show about a couple growing up in New York; the wife causes many hilarious situations. Along with these other shows, my parents had grown up watching "The Donna Reed Show" or "Leave It To Beaver." It's amazing how these women put on pearls and a pretty house dresses to vaccuum the house.
