As I was reading the newspaper ("Freethought Today") this afternoon, I came across an article that almost made my heart stop. "Ten Commandments Weekend Proposed by Senate Resolution." Ex...excuse me? Whatever happened to separation of church and state?!
Two decades of violence have drenched Uganda in blood. The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) have captured children, forced them to become soldiers, and brainwashed them with terrible lies. They define training as killing another child, murdering those who refuse to comply. They rub shea nut oil on the children’s skin, and say the bullets will bounce off.
This was originally a response to a post about the ten commandments, but I felt it was also suited as a blog post.
I've broken all of the ten commandments. And I am a good person - yes, a genuinely good person.
