From the age of 14 and a half to fifteen and a half, I was on birth control pills – Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, to be exact. I went off it at fifteen, and recently decided, once again, to put myself on it. It wasn’t too hard to do, because my periods are awful (quite often, I have cramps that basically paralyze me from the abdomen down.
As many of you may or may not know, Candies is a brand of clothing sold at Kohls (and probably other stores besides, but since my idea of shopping involves Wally World, K-Mart, or resale shops/garage sales, I’m not entirely sure). It’s pretty well known, because Hillary Duff is used in the marketing campaign.
Teen pregnancy is a big issue in the world today. Most teens aren't responsible enough to take precautions and use protection. Having sex is a big responsibility and a big decision your first time. Sex is not a game, although, it seems like everyone is doing it, it's still a matter that needs to be taken very seriously.
I was just wondering about teen pregnancy in high school. I am currently a senior and the amount of pregnant girls has more than tripled since my freshman year! You can not go down our halls with seeing manyyy pregnant girls! And some of them are freshman!
I would like to change my opinion on abortion. I believe now that in cases where the woman may die, it is alright to choose abortion. I still believe that life begins immediately, and that in cases like rape, the child should be kept or put up for adoption.
Teen pregnancy is a huge issue in today’s society. Year after year, the number of pregnant teens is increasing. And I suppose year after year teenage girls don’t understand the consequences they will face when having intercourse without using the proper protection. It’s almost as if some of these teens are asking for pregnancy. There are ways to have intercourse, and not get pregnant.
There are many incorrect assumptions about girls and women who have abortions. Typically anti-abortionists assume that they are young, had sex consensually, did not use protection, and were aware of the consequences. They are accused of being irresponsible, not wanting to face the consequences of their actions, lazy, etc.
Time to clear up those misconceptions.
First I'd like to thank all those who read my previous post. I got a lot more reads and comments than I anticipated - especially over night. So thank you very much for your interest in my point of view & everyone's comments.
Now....I'd like to add a new point of view to a very old topic : teen pregnancy; which I touch on in my last blog. But it was more about me meeting new people.
