One of my students died...

Since the earthquake, I've been thinking a lot about the students that have died. There are 10,000 students at my school alone. If there were an earthquake in Zhengzhou, my city, I'm sure there would be similar results. I'm just thankful my students are safe since some of them panicked and wanted to run out of the school.

A self-pitying rant that nobody should really be interested in until the end.

I'm really starting to feel left out.

So many people are choosing other kids over me.

This guy I've been kindof into since I've been here, as friends (as in, thought we were going to be close) and I have drifted apart.

I was, really close with him for a long time.

The Education Dilemma Part I: Family Idiocracy

Like many things, education is one of those issues that everyone likes to have an opinion about whether they know what they’re talking about or not.  My goal is to discuss the problem in education, because there is a problem, from the bottom up.  This first discussion will be on, as the title suggests, Family Idiocracy.

Reading is Good

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

Too many kids today don’t like to read. Which, for me personally, I don’t understand. I love reading, it’s a way to disconnect with what’s going on around you, yet still be thinking. For as long as I’ve been able to read I’ve loved reading. I think that more kids would like to read if they grew up with having a story read to them.

Why Should You care? ONE IN FOUR

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •

Next time you're in a lecture hall, or on a bus or in the grocery store, look around. Count off people in fours. Now everytime you reach four, pause on that person, not too long, just a monent then go on the next four.

Why am I asking you to do this exercise?

Man made trouble, losses of the soul

It has come to my attention that there are thousands of people that have been diagnosed with a certain category of psychiatric disorder that have been shoved to the back burner far many more times then any other by both the professional community and the general public at large.
