Spending is not the enemy!

Again, I've had it, and I need to do something to save my head the damage incurred from facepalming, headdesking, pulling my hair out, and beating it against a wall (and not necessarily in that order).

I've been hearing the criticisms of the stimulus bill, but one argument sticks out from the rest:

Goverment Raids Trust Fund OF Medicare

The Gov’t is raiding the trust fund of Medicare for Children’s Health Insurance. House of Reps says that the only things funded in the Gov’t are Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. On Cspan today at 6PM a Rep from the house said that everybody in the US would have to buy 155 thousand dollars worth of treasury bills to pay for appropriations.
Guess they should be promoting that. Where are the wartime bonds?
If SCIP passes and I think it will, this bill is being paid for though 227billion Dollar cut in Medicare over the next ten years, a raise in the tobacco tax, and a raise in the taxes of private health insurance.  Read More »
