The article Q&A with Sputnik appeared on October 3, 2007 on the BBC. It gives a brief history of Sputnik and tells of its affects on the U.S. and the rest of the world. While most of the USSR didn’t make much of Sputnik’s launch, most of the world was very surprised, probably because they believed that the U.S. was ahead in the space race.  Read More »
