Astronomers have discovered a new feature of Venus’s cloudy atmosphere unlike anything on Earth. They have noticed bright hazes mysteriously appearing and then disappearing in a matter of days. The European Space Agency’s Venus Monitoring Camera has captured a series of images that demonstrate the haze moving toward the equilateral latitudes from the South Pole and then back down.
