If asked to be sent back to fight in Iraq for another tour, would be willing to pay someone to shoot you in the knees just so you wouldn’t have to go? How about swallow a pen at the bus stop for the bus that you will be taking to base camp? Although you may not do something this extreme, this a real problem that more soldiers now than ever in history are having to deal with.

Well I was watching youtube videos while talking to my boyfriend and I came across a semi interesting group. I say semi interesting because they were only interesting to me because of the stupid things they say and do. This group is anti- glbt, anti-american, and anti-jewish to name the ones I will talk about. They also protest outside of soldiers' funerals and military bases.
The entire week, I have been raging with thoughts and ideas on what to write, how to write... excited to write. (I got my first midterm for history back and the professor actually liked my essay--I was delightfully surprised because I tend to... be really wordy, ramble on and on, and, oh yeah, completely loose my focus!!)

Exactly a year ago, April 7, 2008, I was sitting at home. I was away from school for the weekend; it was my first Easter at college, and looks to have been my last as a preacher's daughter. It was also the day my cat died. We'd had her for fourteen years, and she was my constant, shedding companion through every significant life-moment since I was four.
I have a lot of friends in various branches of the military. A lot of people in my family have served in the military. I have 3 friends in the Marines, 5 in the Navy, and 5 in the Army, and I know there are more it is just way too early in the morning to try to remember them all. They all mean a lot to me and I know they mean a lot to their families.
People have their own opinions of the military. I personally wouldn't join the military at all. The ad's on TV are all lies, they say that they will pay for college, give you work experience, and you will receive a lot of money! But really, its all lies...
