I have not been sick in my first couple semesters of college until today. I couldn't even tell you how I have the energy to type this, since I look and feel like death, but it seems to be an important issue.
Sickness

We do not need medication anymore!
People are starting to become immune to medication. We need to face the fact that if we do not find a different way to vaccinate humans or animals, we will eventually kill the coming generations. In the past, we had doctors who attached leaches to their patients as a cure right? It is considered inhuman to attach leaches to an individual as a cure or should I say remedy?
Did you know that your emotions can make you sick?
I guess I never really thought of it before but I've learned that if you're stressed over something or really upset about something for a long period of time, it can really make you sick. Like sick to your stomach. Reason why I'm writing about this is because I've been feeling sick for a couple days now, and it's never lasted this long.

In a wheelchair, but not useless: a true hero
If someone were to ask me who my hero was, I would of course have to answer out of obligation that it is Jesus. He is my savior and my creator and my Lord. But after that, there are several people who inspire me and for whose life and contributions I am thankful. The one person who sticks out in my mind currently, is now in a wheelchair, but is not useless.

cold weather doesn't make you sick
This is for all the moms that worry about taking the little ones out in the winter. lately i have been arguing about this with many people and i thought i'd set the record straight. Cold weather does not make you sick. viruses make people sick.

The Hygiene Hypothesis
In our day to day lives, how many of you hear the advice "washing your hands is the best way to prevent a disease"? How many of you believe it? Well, it's true. I'm not here to say it's not. However, always behind healthy isn't necessarily a good thing. Enter the Hygiene Hypothesis. Sounds catchy, doesn't it? This 'theory' tells us that we're too clean for our own good.
