Shared Responsibility; Better Future

GreenBiz.com reports that Walmart's latest green supercenter prototype is up and running, ironically enough in Las Vegas. The new supercenter includes innovative cooling systems, skylights for daylighting and LED lighting. Read about it here.

A local car dealership recently began their "Going Green Sale." Every car with a green tag is marked down, Hummers, too. They did this because, like anyone with a social conscience, this business felt the need to do their part in the world-wide push for a better tomorrow. They're "Going Green," jumping on the bandwagon, joining the crowd... but for what?

Lewis is gone now and for such a young person he has touched many lives. Even a month and a half later if you go to his myspace there are still people saying goodbye. He was a partyer I admit, but he never did drugs he just did what 22 years old guys do, have fun.

Less than a month ago I was in a major car accident. I am only seventeen and have a lot of plans for my life. I almost lost all those future plans and one kid did lose his future. I do not want to use names of the other kids so these names I use are fake, but the people are real.

In the United States, there are several groups that are against any form of contraception or abortion. One of these groups includes the “Pharmacists for Life International” (http://www.pfli.org/).

I am a big fan of reality TV shows, including the show “Flip That House” on TLC. For those of you who are unfamiliar, the show is about a person, couple, or group of people who buy well-lived in to rundown homes, renovate them, and then sell them for profit. About a month or so ago, I watched this couple flip a house to make it more environmentally friendly.

So this is my first blog...ever...and I couldn't think what to write about. Then I went to ABC and looked up news articles...after all, this blog is supposed to be about current issues. And I came across one article that caught my eye; "Texting While Driving Could Spell Trouble." Congratulations Captain Obvious!
