Being a skinny girl most bigger set women are automatically going to come at me with a 'what the hell does she know?' response, well at least the thick chicks that I know. I don't know much about being a heavy set woman in fact the last time that I was heavy I was in diapers.

That Reflection in the Mirror
I was wondering just now as I have wondered many times before, what are people thinking when they look in the mirror before they leave the house? I'm not talking about fashion choices here or a personal fashion police investigation on my part. I just mean, what do people think of themselves in that instant that they're ready to go and take that last glance in the mirror?
Body Image and Body distortion
I was shocked to learn that around 5 million people suffer from eating disorders a year in America. 1 in 5 of women are said to have or have experienced an eating disorder in their lifetime. Why?
Tales from above the Toilet Bowl, Chapter 1
A lot of people on this website have opened up about their eating disorders and the damage it has done. I believe it is important to get the stories out there, and feel obligated to tell mine.
The Most "Open-Minded" are Unaccepting
I've always been a rather open-minded person. I figure, you do your thing, I'll do mine, and if they don't mesh, so be it. I was so happy to get to college where other people like that existed. I immediately became friends with people who are into art and music and politics (none of which I've been traditionally involved with).
Sometimes people are wrong about love.
Many people have said that in order to love another person you must first love yourself. I don't completely agree with that. Loving another person can mean loving things about them, that yourself lacks. There are things I don't like about myself, BUT I love someone very much, and nothing can change it. Not even the fact that I might not like myself, at this point.
