You Can't Take My Scholarship From Me!

After weeks of not knowing what school to go to and constantly debating one school against the other, I finally chose a college based on the financial aid I was receiving. I didn't think I would be attending this school since the tuition is $43,000 a year. FAFSA had advised me to take out $30,000 in loans. When it seemed like I wouldn't be going, I find the perfect scholarship for me.

Getting Scholarships is IMPOSSIBLE for Me!!!

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

I am aware that I should have started this earlier, but I sitll need to pay for at least $5,000 (I have more than that to pay for, but this is just to get me by) toward this year's tuition. I got so caught up in applications and schoolwork my senior year that I only had the time to apply for a few. Now I'm behind and applying seems so hopeless because the competition is so high.

collegeboard.com...owner of the Suck-Ass-Test (SAT) and AP, which I don't even need to name-call since anybody who has ever been involved with it knows that it is just a few hours/semesters of misery. For the few years and four-hundred-some dollars that I have spent on collegeboard to help me prepare for college, I don't have much to say for it. In fact, I have even grown to despise it.

Financial Aid

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

A few days ago I got a letter in the mail from the university I attend, recapping the financial aid package I received for the 2007-2008 school year. Today, I received another financial aid letter outlining the funds I'll be receiving for the 2008-2009 school year. My heart was broken when I realized they revoked a bunch of grants I was awarded last year.

Fastweb and the Impersonal Scholarships

I remember in the summer between my junior and senior years I made a pact to myself to apply for one scholarship per day. I did. However, the pure amount of disregard for the applicant angered me to no end.

Being A Senior Sucks...

We all just want to have fun, go out, get to know our friends a little bit more before parting for college.
