We've all joined this for a specific reason. Without any reason, there would be no blogs. Some have joined because they like blogging, some have joined because they want to shout at the world and make sure everyone hears them, and some have joined simply for the heck of it.
Many have joined, I'm sure, for that $1000 jackpot.
I cried today.
I haven’t done that in a long time – cried.
All I want is for senior year to be over, and for college to begin. But, that might not happen – at least not the way I planed it to happen.

I wonder how many other people on this site are trying to get scholarships. That is the main reason why I'm here. I have a really hard time finding scholarships because I am an average student, a junior, and not a minority. Most of the scholarships I find are for need based merit. My parents make enough money so they can pay for college, it is just a hardship.
So, am I the only that has noticed that for some of the really popular scholarships you can't be white? I mean, check it out, there's like, a billion and one scholarships for Hispanics, blacks, gays, but whites?
Don't write off those Ivy League schools as an option for you just yet...you might be waving away the best opportunity of your life! You say there's no way you'd get in? No way to pay for it? Well think again!!
I've realized more and more over the past few weeks of how many people complain about the cost of higher education. And to some degree, I'm right there complaining with them. College is expensive, and very nearly out of reach for a lot of people.
I love the Idea of this website. Blogging for Progress is fantastic, it truly promotes research on current issues and anything that affects us everyday. But I do have some questions.
How many users are there on ProgressiveU? It's practically impossible to count because everyone is signed on at a different time.
How many points did the previous winners accumulate throughout the contest?
I don't know how progressive this is, but to me, it seems like it is.
This year for my Senior Prom, my date and I are entering for the Stuck At Prom Scholarship given out by Duck Tape.
I like to believe I'm an artistic person when it comes to every form of art there is. Writing, Acting, Singing, Music, Drawing. Art in general.
