Thoughts from the Agnostic Atheist

I grew-up up in a Nazarene church, but I'm an agnostic Atheist. First I should probably desribe what a Nazarene is. A Nazarene is a Protestant, a rather conservative one. Basically, the church wasn't formed until the 20th Century and it was ultra-conservative i.e. no shorts, absolutely no dancing, no movies... etc. That's how it was when my parents were young now it is a lot less strict. Don't get me wrong it's still conservative but not as much as it was. My town has a large Nazarene college and three Nazarene churches. There are tons of other Christian churches around too. All sorts.. you name it and it is probably here. It is a very conservative town to say the least.  Read More »

There and Back Again

I've been there and back again with religion. I grew up Christian, got sick of the church condemning me to hell every week, became athiest, felt empty, became agnostic, felt emptier, became Wiccan, liked it for five years and then got sick of it, and now I'm a Christian again.
