I read an interesting thing today while reading a novel - in fact it was this novel ("The Constant Princess" by Philippa Gregory) that sparked my thinking on mythology and Christianity. In the part of the novel where I am now, Queen Katherine of England consults a Arab doctor.

A (Hopefully) Unbiased Look at Paganism

In a country dominated by Christianity there lies a relatively small, though growing, religious group known as Pagans. The group consists of a number of sub groups that each have their own voice. Such groups include Wiccans, Druids, Asatru, Shamans, and many others. These people, as viewed by the Christian community, are the classic example of "devil worshippers." But are they really?

A (Hopefully) Unbiased Look at Islam

So a while back I was given a challenge to read more about the religion of Islam. The original challenge was to read the Hadiths, or traditions started or approved by Muhammad. In the process, I found an interestng book that I've felt worthwhile to use as a basis for my explanation of Islam and how it's used - and abused - the way I understand and view it.

Heathens of the World, Unite!

Christianity has been around for over 2000 years. One would think that would be ample time to explore our faith and deepen a relationship with God. Instead, the religious followers of Jesus Christ seem to be moving in the wrong direction.

Problems with accepting different religions at schools

Recently at my college there was a huge conflict on religion, thankfully the college responded favorably by getting together an educated group of people with one representative from the following religions: Christianity, Islam, a Rabbi, and an Atheist.
