I agree that there should be respect in this world for varying viewpoints and lifestyles. Unfortunately, the vast majority of wars have come due to religious reasons or radical doctrine that truly resembles religious blind faith. Additionally, I believe that all too often people get an easy pass for what they say and do because they can fall back on "religious respect."

I have a number of posts in mind that have been inspired by the Pagan reading I've done lately (The Witch's Voice has been my friend), so religion will most likely be the predominating theme for me for a while, particularly comparisons between Paganism and Christianity, considering my current spiritual path at the moment.
One of the things I had found, and found very disturbing, was a legislation entitled Recognizing the importance of Christmas and the Christian faith.

Recently, my husband and I have been helping our students look at American colleges to apply for. Being Chinese students with no particular geographic ties, any state is up for grabs. Hey, why not Hawaii? But why is this one called "Brigham Young University Hawaii"?
