A terrible thing happened last night. Two young gang members were peing pursued by police. The "chase" only lasted two minutes but by the end of it the 17 and 21 year old men had run a red light and T-boned a car carrying an 18 and a 19 year old boy. One of them, was my friend from high school. Both were upstanding young men. Their death is tragic and confusing. How could this happen? Read More »

You Found Me, the Corner of New Hope and Trust
I rewrite lyrics to mean something to me, I also find connections between me and things in my world.
I have found a connection with me to this song by the Fray.
He, they, sings meaningful lyrics that touch people, people question their reasons but I rather just listen to the music but sometimes I find myself sucked into the cycle of knowing why someone wrote certain words... Read More »

But wait. Easter's different. Believe it or not, Easter wasn't originally a Pagan holiday. Read More »
ALENKA ON RELIGION: Am I Atheist?
A lot of you may remember me mostly for one of two reasons. My ignorant yet passionate rants on religion or my blog on my autistic brother, my complete stranger. Unfortunately, I didn't have the ability to write on anything else so I wrote on those two since they in general attracted a lot of attention. I am glad that by now, I have a lot more to say. A lot has happened since then. Read More »
