I just finished reading East of Eden and it struck me just how important a role sibling rivalry plays in our lives. For those of you who don’t know, East of Eden is the story of two generations of brothers. One of the most striking parallels is to the story of Cain and Abel in the Bible.

The Small Envelope
It had been a day like any other day and I was waiting for my final decision letter from the University of Connecticut. I had decided to apply, since it was close to my brother's house and the possibility of living up near him was an idea that my parents were comfortable with. I visited the campus and fell in love with it.

The Grand question
Good guys finish last. This is a phrase that probably everyone has heard at least once, and yet only the good guys are the ones who can truely understand it from every angle. I'm one of them. I'm the type of person who would almost littlerally do anything for someone I loved, given the chance.
