When I was little, I was an avid reader. I could read a book in a day or two. My school used to have a fundraiser called "The Book-A-Thon" where kids would have a few weeks to get pledges to read as many books as possible and raise money for the school. It was a good way to bring in money for the school, while trying to get students interested in reading.
As of the beginning of 2007, I started a goal to read 50 books by January 1st, 2008. Unfortunately, I missed the mark by only four measly books, which is disappointing. At least I read about 40 more books in 2007 than I did in 2006 (textbooks don't count). Books that have an asterisk next to them are the ones I would highly recommend. Then again, I read a lot of "boring" books. :)
