Another issue that I see young people facing is the amount of rapes that occur in the U.S. With the number of pedophiles rising, no one is safe. Teens, young adults, and children are at a high risk. Teenage girls can't even walk down the sidewalk without being whistled at or otherwise harassed. Even boys and men aren't safe against rape and sexual assault any more.
so the case that has been all over the news lately has been wether or not to put the guy on a death penatly for being the worst child rapist ever. Does anybody understand and agree with all the people that have been put to death. Is it really a cruel and unuasual punishment. The court has ruled that it is not but what are your opinions on the whole thing.
So today I was working at one of the shelters I work at, the one known as SAFE, or Salvation Army Female Emergency shelter, and a woman was brought in by the police from the hospital, a woman who had been raped. She was a young, very pretty, African-American woman, probably sixteen or seventeen at the most.
If you’re anyone who's everyone, you have recently watched the news or read a newspaper article about the 400+ children who were taken from a ranch in Texas. That does not include the 100+ women who chose to leave on their own free will. So, it that right for the children to be taken away? Here are my two points on the subject.

Walking back from class today I was approached by a young woman who attempted to get me to sign up for Take Back the Night. Take Back the Night an annual feminist, anti-rape demonstration where people (mostly women) walk around campus blowing whistles to, well, take back the night.
How can we prevent rape from happening? Why do you think women are raped more than men? Is anyone to blame when rape does happen?
There are many incorrect assumptions about girls and women who have abortions. Typically anti-abortionists assume that they are young, had sex consensually, did not use protection, and were aware of the consequences. They are accused of being irresponsible, not wanting to face the consequences of their actions, lazy, etc.
Time to clear up those misconceptions.
