Radical Islam

I'm not sure about everyone else in society, but it seems to me that there is something distinctly off kilter in the nation we live in.

         Modern day politics and Islam seem to be at odds with each other in various ways.

Radical Islamist Students have taken over the Red Mosque in Islamabad again. This comes shortly after a bloody showdown at the same mosque in which more than a hundred radical Islamists were killed. Apparently these radical students--the ones who aren't dead yet--are demanding that Pakistani authorities release Maulana Abdul Aziz, their leader who was captured while trying to flee the mosque dressed as a woman. This article seems to be laden with fear. The authors seem to want to readers to feel uneasy (fnord) but I don't know why.

I have a tremendous heart for the Israel and the Jewish people. I often read the bible and see that the Jews were ALMOST annihilated over and over again. It just seems that history is repetitive no matter how hard we try to prevent it. Israel has outlived many of its enemies that God said he would abolish.
