I have a question that has been plaguing me.

Why are you going to college? Is it so that you can get a good career?

I've been looking around myself at my fellow college students and I can't help but wonder why they're here. Are they honestly motivated by a need for a career? Are they truly in pursuit of a reality that consists of repetition and ritual?

ordinary : extraordinary :: existence : life

On being ordinary: There must be something inherently beautiful about being ordinary. So what am I, and what do I want to be? If I go beyond ordinary, I will lose the ability to relate to those who are ordinary. It is like the price we pay for education, and that thing that happens to us when we go from uneducated to educated. But if I remain ordinary, what will I have accomplished?

You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours?

Are most of us in the early stages of moral development?

Lawrence Kohlberg was a prominent psychologist of the 20th Century who believed in 6 stages of moral development.

The first stage consisted of following rules due to fear of punishment. The second stage is the ever notorious "Scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours".

As we all know there are only threereasons that women are here on this earth with us.These reasons arent generally in a specific order, just whatever pops into my head at the time. First is the all known view that all guys want from women is sex, although in cases this is true it is kinda what the point of women are.

What Do You Think Happens when you die?

Over the past two years I have had a fairly large change in religious beliefs and in my outlook on the world in general. In my opinion, I went from being optomistic, religious, narrow-minded, and opinionated to being more open-minded, disappointed in our world, and more accepting of others in general.

Blogging for Progress or Blogging for Me?

When I joined here, I had the idea that people would be posting meaningful things about world events or things going on here in America.  While that is mostly true, there is the occasional post "Why can't I find someone?"  "OmGzZz whAT haPeNeD?"

My first blog and of course it has to be religious. I am definitely going to have to work on my blogging skills.

So I've been thinking lately. Philosophically. Here are a few of my thoughts. If you have questions, please let me know. I'm really very interested.

Recent thoughts that I would be interested in hearing others' thoughts on:

From what I can gather:

God is love.
