By what standard can progress be measured?

I really enjoy today's piece of Flair. Written on notebook paper in red, black, and blue, with a stylish, almost handwritten font, reads "Everything Has Its Beauty, Just Not Everyone Can See It."

Day one of blogging about progressivism in the Pieces of Flair application on Facebook, and I've already found myself heading in a different direction than I had expected. On the first page of the "Recently Popular" Flair, one caught my eye. It was a picture of a stop sign. But instead of reading "STOP," it read "JUST KINDA STOP."

Gah, we have it every contest folks and now it is happening again. What I like to call, the nonprogressive, God blog. Seriously folks, write something progressive. Knocking off new posts so you can tell us how much you love God is really very annoying.

Dictionary.com defines "progressive" as "favoring or advocating progress, change, improvement, or reform, as opposed to wishing to maintain things as they are; making progress toward better conditions; characterized by such progress, or by continuous improvement." I believe that Progressive U is really helping us to be progressive in our thinking.

A Man Without a Country is by far one of the best, short-reads I've ever placed my eyes on. Kurt Vonnegut was such a masterful writer, it is too bad he is not here with us today to make blood shoot out of the eyes of people like Rush Limbaugh and Jeff Katz.
