Presidential race

Some Pennsylvanians say," I am bitter!"

I find it funny that Hillary Clinton has been trying to use Sen. Obama's comments against him. If you have not heard the full quote, Obama said:

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. ...

Peace is Destruction War is Bliss

On March 20, 2003 President George W. Bush made a live TV broadcast which aired across the nation, announcing the American military invasion of Iraq. He said that Saddam was a "damnable" dictator, with a nuclear weapons program, whose country was directly affiliated to terrorism, and who could be one of the biggest threats in the Middle East.

Straddling the Racial Line: Does It Really Matter If He's Black AND White?

I hate to be another person commenting on one of the ever prominent issues of this current presidential race, but I just can't help it. Being a woman of color, and a Political Science major, race is an issue that is constantly brought up to me. I do have to admit thoough that I am slightly biased and tend to lean towards issues that affect minorities and women seeing that I fit both categories.

I've Been Sooo Much More Opressed Than You!

I was thinking about the 2008 election, and the democratic candidates especially. More specifically, I was pondering that subconcious question: Who has it worse? Blacks or Women? Who has been more oppressed? Borack or Hilary?

Bros before Hoes? (or how I learned to stop being so angry and love both Democratic Candidates)

I was out at a club one night recently in our nation’s capital, and I stumbled upon a young man wearing a shirt showing the faces of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, that said “Bros before Hoes” in a patriotic red, white and blue.

As the presidential campaign for 2008 continues on, I can't help but take notice to how people stand on different issues. I can see now that major issues concerning Iraq, the economy, and healthcare are all headlining these campaigns -- and it begs the question: "What do we really want as the American people?"

The answer is simple, right?
