Those who know me, know that the presidential candidate whom I supported has long been out of the competition. I'd say that I now align mostly with Ralph Nader (on the ballot in 45 states, by the way), but despite my inner urges, I will not be voting for him come November.  Read More »

When Jeremiah Wright recently came under fire, Senator Obama quickly denounced him. He jumped on the Romney/Kennedy-esque religion speech as the media continuously played tapes of Wright's fiery rhetoric over and over. Reporters used their adjectives of choice in attempt to distance themselves from Wright in spite of their love for Obama. A frenzy erupted over some minor—and honest—quotes.  Read More »

The unthinkable has happened in this election. There is a black man and a woman running, John McCain got the nomination he could not get when he was eight years younger and the most credible candidates in both major parties are no longer contenders in the upcoming presidential election. I also got to listen to his answers.  Read More »

How Black is Barack Obama?

Every time I listen to Barack Obama—a daily practice—I feel like I'm listening to today's Martin Luther King, Jr. I'm waiting for the day that after the word "change" springs up one of the million times in each of his speeches, the words "So even though we face some difficulties of today and tomorrow..." follows.  Read More »

Over The Hillary

Hillary Clinton needs to get out of the race now. I don't consider myself a Democrat—I'm a socialist—but as a socialist, I'd much rather a Democrat in the White House than a Republican. As a citizen of the United States, I'd much rather a starkly different party in the White House than the one that has been for the past eight years.  Read More »
