I know there have been quite a few recent posts about teen pregnancy, given the pregnancy pact at Gloucester High School where 17 girls have become pregnant. A couple of arguments exist as to whether anyone has the right to tell these teenagers whether or not they are ready to be mothers.
It's always something new that Hollywood has done wrong. Currently, it's glamorizing pregnancy. There's Juno, Jamie Lynn Spears, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and all kinds of A-list celebs sporting 'baby bumps.'
I am a 17 year old girl that will be turning 18 very soon. Out of 18 years of my life I haven’t seen or heard from my mom except for once. No birthdays wishes, no Christmas gifts… she wasn’t even there to help me when I came into woman-hood. (Excuse me ladies and gentlemen). With this, many people have been getting various shots, like Gardasil, and trying new birth control methods like Yaz and Mirena. I wanted to write a blog parallel to this because it affects me personally, and I wanted to raise awareness.
So i was sitting in the mall the other day and a i notice a pregnant girl walk by me, she couldnt have been more than 16.... i didnt think much about it because well i see that all the time...then i started walking around and i saw another pregnant girl about the same age... i started thinking to myself whats with all the pregnant teens.
So for once in a blue moon Maury is doing something other than paternity tests on his show.
Today, he has 13 year old girls that are completely out of control.
And these girls are seriously fucked up! These girls are cutting school, doing drugs, drinking, having sex with guys in their 20's. What were you doing at 13?
