I am sad. My mom, a very gifted woman with one Master's degree and the equivalent of another, said today, in a depressed moment, that all she is good for is killing flies. I, the woman who can't kill a fly herself due to reasons discussed elsewhere, felt horrible because I had asked her to kill the fly.
Instead of going to war over the world’s current oil crisis, Sweden has decided to be proactive and become an oil-free nation by the year 2020. 2020 is only twelve years away. You may think that it would be impossible to make an entire country independent of oil in a mere span of twelve years, but Sweden is dead set on working to meet this goal.
Why is guard duty so apt to be abused?
As much as the title seems like an oxymoron it's not. Whoever thought nuclear energy could save our fossil fuels and our environments. Now many of you pessimists and environmentalists out there must be thinking I am crazy but I'm not. While nuclear power is obtained from splitting the radioactive uranium and plutonium atom, it's not as dangerous as people think.

Is ignorance truly bliss?
In my opinion, the most dangerous person in the world is a prison warden. Think about it, this single person controls the most dangerous people in the world, the people with nothing to lose and everything to gain, most of which speak of loyalty in terms of absolutes and absolutely nots.
the UN is useless. it is full of corrupt people who mean nothing. now not everyone is corrupt, just the enough people to over rule or "out vote" the people who are really trying to do some good in this world. this of course is on an international level, where bribes are much larger and come with better "benefits"
