1 year, and 1 month ago I became a vegetarian. I think i've gained more than people realize. Yes, I love animals; unfortunately that's not the sole reason for my change. Honestly, I only did it because my friend did. Little did I know-she was not going to follow through with it. I had already started this habit, and was not about to just give it up.

Vegetarian into overpopulation?

Wenesdays off to have sex!

China's skewed gender ratio hitting the roof
I wonder how the ancient Chinese society coped with this problem. To be sure, their marriageable male population must have been higher than their female population. For one: Female infant mortality rates must have been higher than male infant mortality rates because of how little valued girl babies were.
Grow Up, Not Out
I remember playing the original "Sim City" way back in the days of sixth grade. It wasn't quite as sophisticated as the newer versions of Sim City (which I still play), but it was pretty fun nevertheless.
One of my favorite things in Sim City was the Arcologies, the huge towering buildings that were designed to be population centers...self-contained little worlds.
the world would be better off...
...if about 90% of the people were dead. First, there goes overcrowding, unemployment, hunger, homelessness, pollution, and the constant watering-down of our beloved gene pool. The bodies, once buried, will fertilize the ground allowing strong thick plant-life to reclaim the massive concrete jungles that will go unused. With plenty of land to go around, violence and war will just be silly.

Population and the Environment
The earth will be unable to sustain life indefinitely, but many seem to ignore this extremely logical and obvious fact. In the context of overpopulation, there are two countries of main concern China and India. However, population concerns the entire globe because of its inevitable environmental impact. According to Kegley, “the right to produce children is a major[ly] unregulated freedom” (347). The concern of the planet’s carrying capacity has made population and environmental policy a central issue in world politics.
