Over a year ago an UNARMED queens man was the victim of the overzealous tactics of the NYC police department. 23 year old Sean Bell, accompanied by two aquaintences were leaving a bar/club when undercover officers collided with his vehicle and then opened fire on the vehicle firing over 50 rounds.

I was pretty shocked at some of the responses to the police brutality at the port protests. People were basically excusing and minimizing the police's actions against peaceful protesters.

From July 18th to July 22, 2001, at least 100,000 up to as many as 200,000 people protested against the G8 Summit in Genoa, Italy. The protesters objected to the role of G8: having the eight most powerful governments in the world setting rules for everyone else to follow.
Sometimes I wonder if people look at cases of supposed "police brutality" as objectively as they should. Or if they simply hate cops and are looking for a reason to defame them in any way possible. These people are not being as objective as they should be.
