In addition to the "feminine problem" that needed to be addressed, I also got hit with a terrible case of the flu. This (as crazy as it sounds) was great because I was able to get into the doctor on Monday without lies, embarassment or invasion of privacy, and take care of myself for once.
Americans are really fickle beings, aren't they? I mean, when we want something that seems to be good for us (i.e., "Abstinence Only Education") we expect the government to pay for it - and they do. But expect to take the good with the bad? We can't do that - can we?
I am involved in a club on campus called VOX, Voices for Planned Parenthood. We are just a good old fashioned feminist club representing Planned Parenthood on campus and making people aware of reproductive rights issues. Now most of the women in this org are of the feminist mind, however some think they are of the feminist mind and really just spout off a little too much for my liking.
