I am thankful for my best friend. She grew up in a not so ‘white picket fence’ home. For a time, she had to survive and tolerate her mother’s abusive boyfriend who later became her mother’s husband (that is after some jail time lots of counseling and drug rehab). Why should I contribute a quarter to someone's drug habit?
