True story: If you roll your windows down while driving, the sun will beat down on one arm, but not the other. You probably won’t notice because of the cool wind racing in through the window.

In other words, I look like a damn candy cane.

Eighteen months ago, my life changed forever. Eighteen months ago, I was a foolish little girl who didn’t know what I believed or what I stood for. Then I woke up. I read of a rabbi who said that “maturity is achieved when a person postpones immediate pleasures for long-term values”, and then I met a person who showed me that it was true.

"You're too fat. You're too short. Your hips are too wide...." It's an all-too-familiar taunt that rings in my ears as I recall my middle school years. I was the fat girl, the weird girl, and the girl that no one but a singular best friend dared to talk to.

There is really no simple way of defining an eating disorder, and no simple way of knowing someone who has or has had one.

Once again, another winter passes and I get sick for the second time this season. And no, against everyone without a PhD's opinion, it is not the flu. Now last season, I'll admit, I did not for the fifth year in a row did not receive a flu shot and exceeded in achievement by catching both strains A and B of influenza.

This might not be very progressive. I don't really know but I wanted to write about my enemy, something that comes around every year and makes me into a Captain Lazy or some other unmotivated character. I hate cold weather. I am serious (-__-)
