Cleansing the vessel of self is done by being gentle. Answering harsh words in same manner would be pitty. Patience and passionate prayer will help spiritual ill. True believer is gentle at heart. Respondinging evil with good is goodness. Suppressing anger is bravery. The one who prays for brothers and sisters and forgives cannot have hatred.

So I haven't really been on in the last 2 days because I've been so busy, but if you didn't notice, today is Day 7. That's right, my week is up. I leave for Vegas tomorrow. Right now it's all nerves for me.

Apparently, back in the old days, people believed that the ham & eggs people were eating for breakfast gave them the urge to masturbate. And since everyone believed that masturbation made you crazy, they felt they needed to figure out a way to prevent it.

As a result of our fast-paced America we seem to be inventing illness. We cannot focus on anything for longer than five minutes, and to cure our impatience we take drugs that dull our minds and erase our personality. Perhaps ADD and ADHD stem from a culture were children are not at leisure to spend more than ten minutes with their parents at a time.

Why does love have to hurt? How can my heart keep breaking every time he finds someone new? And why can't I let him go? Why is it everywhere I go something reminds me of him? How can I ache so much just to hear his voice? Why do I love him so much that I let him do what makes him happy? How can I miss him when he isn't even gone?

(this blog entry was written last week but wasn't submitted because I was having Internet issues. You'll see why this is ironic.)
