The music screeched and echoed throughout the room as dancers in skin-colored leotards danced in seemingly random movements across the stage, completely out of sync with the harsh music. A large audience filled the room, hoping to witness the cacophony created by the independent usage of two genres of art: music and dance.

So, I've pretty much decided to make this a series, of sorts. I began asking the question, What is Death? and continued with What is Pain? and What is a soul? Feel free to check them out.

A Blast From the Past

Today, I got quite a surprise. I came home to find a Private Message on a message board I used to run. I haven't touched the message board in probably a year or so (there's a message from me saying that I hope 2007 is a better year than 2006). While that in and of itself is not that surprising, the person the PM came from is.

There's just something about good film. There are a lot of good films out there, not too many amazing ones, but a lot of good ones. This season, I decided that I would aim to see every Oscar-nominated flick out there, because to be nominated by something so prestigious, I assumed that these movies must be of a high caliber. Most of the movies nominated have appeared to be.

A Fascination that Never Ends

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

Have you ever wondered who built the Sphynx in Egypt? Or who made Stonehenge in England? Or if the siege and destruction of Troy ever took place? If you have, then you’re not alone. I, for one, have a certain fascination with all things historical. From the very beginning of time, to as recent as the industrial revolution, my curiosity has almost turned into an obsession.
