It has come to my attention that the presidential elections of 2008 will be arriving in less than two weeks, and instead of deciding who I am going to vote for, not that it really matters in Illinois, a democratic state since The Stone Age, I wonder if it is too late for at least one of the candidates to drop out of the race.
Waiting in line for an hour, the computers go down, another half an hour passes and I receive my ballot.
Okay guys.... did I already touch on the whole 'Obama is half-white thing?"

The fact that he has his own channel.

It shows a few thousand campaign commercials
(btw - slander commercials are on BOTH sides thanks)
It's quite amusing to see Sarah Palin and John McCain use the term "maverick" and have no sense of the origin of the word.
Is it me or is this the never-ending election? Somewhere around the time that Huckabee dropped out and Obama and Clinton were sparring, I stopped paying attention.
As the Bush saga comes to a close I can not help but look forward with a sense of optimism. Yes, we may have several environmental, economic, and assorted other crises, but Bush leaving has to be the silver lining to those dark clouds. Unfortunately this surge in enthusiasm hits a brick wall with every headline that features our Presidential candidates.
The first check would go in the bank. I have a car note, daycare, books, and a mortgage that is due. I need help with it and the little checks that they are sending out are not help us at all. I would put the check in a high yeild saving account and let it gain some interest for me.
I can see the benefits of both experience and change. Experience is a great thing for a politician to have because you know that they have some idea of how to achieve their goals because they have done it long enough to gain that experience.
