A Modest Proposal
According to thesmokinggun.com, "Paris Hilton has filed a federal lawsuit over a $2.49 Hallmark greeting card that uses a photo of the heiress and her trademarked phrase 'That's Hot...'"
Holy sweet mother of Jesus, what in the hell? She's suing for "...at least $500,000 in actual damages..." because they used her likeness.
Everyone knows about Ms. Paris Hilton heir of Hilton Hotels. I am not a fan, I have never been, and I will never be a fan. Paris Hilton is a very beautiful woman and has the power to do pretty much anything, but what does she do with it? She gets drunk, speeds, and gets arrested. A girl with that much potential and power should be a role model to younger girls with dreams and aspirations. It sickens me as a young woman today when I see her face plastered on every channel because of stupidity, ignorance, or because her dress is pretty. She doesn't realize that girls, unfortunately, look up to her and want to be like her. She doesn't set a good example. Hold on though because this is not even the thing that pushes my buttons.
Why, oh why, was Paris Hilton's tumultuous return to prison such a BIG DEAL?
I saw it as the leading headline on AP, BBC, CNN, ABC, and the SF Chronicle at some point today; as of this writing it's still in the top 3 headlines.
The big news story for today is Paris Hilton. Surprise surprise she's getting out early. I wonder what took them so long. I would have thought 1 day and a slap on the wrist would have been what she got.
