Am I a terrible person? Today marks 9 months since the last time I've spoken to my mother. She calls every week but I just choose not to talk to her. I mean, why should I?

Over the past few years I've been watching youth, seeing how they react in society today. My observations have found that youth today are much louder, immature, disrespectful, and more prone to violence than i remember the teenagers of my day being. Granted I'm not the oldest individual, but the change I've seen has been drastic.

I've claimed it many times and will do so many times again... I am an orphan with living parents. I have no parents but those that had to do with my genetic makeup still live and breathe. They just are uncaring. One replaced me with alcohol and the other with a ready made family and money. Do I feel slighted or insulted by these things?

I’m not in high school any more (thank goodness), but I would like to examine this subject seeing as it’s that time of year again.

ii secretly wonder if my parents really love me.. ii know that they say the do and if u were looking through a window at us we would be the picture perfect family... but sometimes i wonder if they really love me. ii know that people my age go through this all the time we pray before we go to sleep that things will change but they never really do.

I could probably sit here and post all day long about intelligent, funny, and fun subjects and they still would not get ratings, reads or any comments.

College was supposed to set me free. No more parents. No more rules. No more curfew. Just me- I was going to do what I wanted without any more worries about what my parents expected.

WRONG.
