Palestine

First and foremost, thanks to those who commented on my previous post, thank you for clarifying my intention on the pursuit of happiness as a quote from the Decl. of Indep.

Born in America, I was taught from kindergarten to high school, through my teachers and the books we read in their classes, that America stand for liberty, freedom, human rights. A phrase that has come into general conversation, "the pursuit of happiness" was born with the will smith film "Pursuit of Happyness" that was extremely successful in the box office.

So I was watching TV at my great uncle’s house last night and al jazera happened to be on. I could not believe my eyes. Fathers and mothers were running from crumbling houses while holding the dead bodies of their children. Israel keeps launching attacks on civilians and we are letting them do this.

I'm a documentary kind of girl.

  What I would like to do here is draw a few parallels between Palestine and Taiwan concerning the status problems they are facing.

  I first read the bible, then learnt about the Holocaust, and my knowledge of the Jews culminated in learning that they had Israel back again. A story of well deserved triumph after tribulations, nay?
