Recently I heard a friend make a comment that was somewhat sarcastic and somewhat meant to be a joke but it made me wonder. The comment was if we yell at smokers for smoking and tell them to stop why then should we refrain from yelling at obese people and tell them to stop eating. Not Your Stereotypical Fat Chick

At 5'4" and 208 lbs, I'm hardly thin. It really irritates me to hear people stating "facts" about people my size that aren't necessarily true, or making assumptions about overweight people without actually bothering to find out anything about us. I'm going to dispel a few myths here, and expand people's understanding of others.
