overcoming obstacles

How many of you have ever dealt with being depressed? I am sure at some point everyone has. Now how many have dealt with long periods of depression? I have and let me tell you it is no fun.

I could feel the tug of the rope and the cool sensation of the lake as I was dragged underwater by the boat. The time must have been minimal and although uncertain of specifics, by the time I had surfaced I was well aware something horrific had happened. Reaching down, I grasped my left leg only to realize my whole calf had been ripped apart.

As I've stated, I'm back in school now as a junior for the first time since
1997. It hasn't been easy, and I'm taking some big risks in the process, but I
have to hope the rewards will be worth it. Now, I could sit and whine about the
financial hardships, the intellectual hurdles of jump starting brain cells that

Well, I guess I'll start this blog off by writing a little about myself.

It seems a thing to do...a place to start...

I'm not a very good person.

My younger brother has always been something of a wonder to me. He was never the typical boy, preferring to play with my Barbies rather than his trucks, hating to get dirty, and always being sensitive to the needs of others. It was never a shock to me that he was mercilessly picked on, however my reactions always suprised me.
