I just had to come home a blog after my nite!... So the inside joke in my family is that I have 2 strikes against me. Not only am I African American/ Native American but a lesbian as well. I never really thought too much into that until tonite. I just always considered it a joke among the family.
I do believe there was once a time when I thought that all I had to do was grow up. And yeah, growing up entails a lot of things, like college educations, jobs, and families- the big shiny things that most adults have.
It was my Grandpa’s birthday and I spent four hours away from campus as an alien youth, socializing with a group of foreigners from a planet on the other side of what is being called the largest generation gap since the ‘60s.
Dictionary.com defines music as an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. Though this definition is great, I feel as though it is no longer accurate.
Basically i saw what our generation was. There was a vid of infared, and basically you see people and they started shooting at them now. Normally this is war, its gunna happen. You could only see white bodies running but the part that shocked me was that people were laughing.
