Today’s news: The Olympic Torch had to be extinguished five times by authorities during chaotic protests in Paris. The Torch Relay in the city was stopped early because of the anti-China protestors. Don’t worry, all you Olympic Flame Fans… the real flame was “kept alive” in a bus while the Torch kept suffering in the screaming crowds.

Climbing the Cables on the Golden Gate Bridge

Today, there were people climbig the cables on the Golden Gate bridge. I was just admiring the vast beauty of this bridge on Friday and now, there are people risking their lives on the cables holding it up. I think it is great!

2008 is special for two reasons:
1) The Summer Olympics will be held in August in Beijing.
2) It's the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
