For as long as man has been able to communicate in a written form and attempted to comprehend life around them, they have tried to standardize classification systems. As human beings, we are willing and able to rank everything – from the 250 best cities in the word to raise children to the 100 greatest movies (Williams, 2005). In some aspects, this standardization has worked for humans.

I've been steadily distancing myself from sporting engagements. I used to play them all--basketball, baseball, soccer. But I suppose by the time we turn 18, it's time to move on; to become more realistic while still maintaining a romantic youngness and innocence. And so, I've channeled the naturally-American obsession with competition and turned it into an environmental nuance.

I believe introductions are in order. It is only proper to introduce one's self...as said by Katsumoto in The Last Samurai (2003), "Not to introduce yourself is considered extremely rude, even among enemies."
