As I am sure many of you have already heard, New York's governor, Eliot Spitzer, is (still allegedly) involved in a Prostitution Ring scandal that has been under investigation. He was caught on a Federal wiretap communicating with a prostitute from the "Emperors Club VIP" prostitution ring.
Oh dear me. I’m sorry class. I know I told you all we were going to do an internet research project on domestic current events but it turns out the internet is blocked. Looks like we’ll just share the one copy the school has of the New York Times that I stole from the main office during my precious prep-period. I’m sure we can do it if we all work together.
to really go into depth on how badly american knowledge on the real world out there has become, i first want to explain what has happend to the press:
I, like most everyone who follows presidential politics, watches the news or, well, can read have skimmed over the now-famous New York Times piece on John McCain's alleged "relationship" with lobbyist Vicki Iseman. Now, like 24 hours later, I'm trying to navigate through the murky waters surrounding the "story".
Move America Forward, one of my most respected non-profits in the nation practically ruin the NY times. The liberal newspaper company, which i would not trust to clean my bathroom, wrote a story called "killer vet" which they allegedly claimed returning war veterans are engaging in a sort of killing rampage around the country.
