My perspective is changing about the recent raid in Texas on a religious sect after a young girl may have reported being abused. Now that the mothers of the children who have been taken away by Child Protective Services have spoken out and voiced their side of the story, I am reminded that we as readers rarely get the whole truth.
Mormonism

I couldn't handle the truth.

Religion: What is it coming to these days?
After hearing of the reports that a 16 year old girl may have been forced to bear the child of her 50 year old husband, I am heartbroken. I think it's because there are people in the world destroying a beautiful thing. My spiritual beliefs are everything to me and not in a crazy fundamentalist way. It's who I am and how I have chosen to live my life.

My Beef With Mormonism
After my last post, I feel the need to state my beef. I don't care about whether or not Mormons wear magic underwear or even if it should be considered Christianity at all. I've studied it a bit in college and it seems just as reasonable as any other religion. Religions can get pretty crazy. Who cares if they don't eat chocolate?

Non-Mormon's shouldn't go to BYU.
Recently, my husband and I have been helping our students look at American colleges to apply for. Being Chinese students with no particular geographic ties, any state is up for grabs. Hey, why not Hawaii? But why is this one called "Brigham Young University Hawaii"?

Mormons DO NOT have "Speical" underwear
Mormonism is one of those religions that not very many people really understand. More so, it’s a religion that people don’t like to take the time to actually learn about. They make their assumptions that Mormons: don’t drink, swear, or do drugs, they tend to have large families, have “special” underwear, wrote their own bible, and do “secret” rituals in their temples.

Why Romney won't win: It's George Bush stupid!
Mitt Romney cannot Win the Presidential Election 2008 because
"It's George Bush Stupid"
Or you could say
"it's the Evangellyfishes Stupid" or "It's the evangelical's stupid"
This is pointed out in the new book:
The Bush Tragedy (Hardcover),
by Jacob Weisberg (Author).
George W Bush is the politician in recent years who has benefited the most from the Evangelical Vote.
