Hello,
I'm a 28 year old women living with fibromyalgia. My mother has it too, ever since I was two years old. I grew up knowing the characters of Sesame Street and the symptoms of Fibromyalgia (back then they called it fibrocytis).

What does HEALTH mean to you? (Part 1)
When most people think of the term "HEALTH," the presence or absence of disease is usually the first thing that comes to mind.
As if health is somehow either black or white, no room for gray.
For example, some common thoughts are: I am in good health if I do not have a cold, if I am not obese or if I do not have any type of cancer (just to name a few).
infanticide vs. quality of life
Is it fair for a physician to end the life of a newborn? There are many issues: first and foremost, the quality of life of the infant. Is it ok for a physician to help aid the in the death of an infant who will not survive long, if at all, after birth?
Using a Tooth to See
This is one of the craziest medical stories I have ever heard about. A man in Ireland used his sons tooth to rebuild an artificial cornea. The article that I read (the link is below) said that this procedure started being done back in the 60’s in Italy . This story is so unique I figured that we would have heard about this “medical miracle” before now.

Walmart Medical
Walmart is now officially openning a clinic. That's right. Now you won't just be able to by food, clothes, and have your film developed at our friendly, neighborhood, convienient store, you will now be able to check to see if your kid has the measles. Who's excited?
The Ignorance that Comes with the Disapproval of Stem Cells.
I do not understand why there is so much opposition to the use of stem cells. Whether or not it is embryonic stem cell research I am all for it.
But the thing that bothers me about the controversy of the topic is that most people do not even know what they are talking about.
First off, not all stem cell research involves embryos.

Could she have lived
So today I was just being bored, surfing the net and I found this article on this lady who had been in a coma (so like a vegetable) for 9 years and then all of a sudden she woke up. Just out of the blue she woke up. And of course everthing had changed in her life. She had no clue where she was. Her kids were all grown up, and she had missed it all. She missed everything.
