making a difference

What makes a career worthwhile? Is it doing something you love? Making a difference? Does a career have to be worthwhile?

Now that Earth day is coming its all about making a difference.
I would like to talk about a few things and ask you to help the earth and also tell you how you can.
The first thing im going to talk about is Earthday FrenzY

A young woman dying of AIDS lay in the bed before me. Staring at her frail, disease-stricken body, the words of a family friend echoed in my head, "Why is Kellie going to Africa? Does she really think that one person can make a difference?"

I love how inconsequential my daily decisions are. The thought of waking up and knowing that even if I make a mistake, everything is going to be alright, well, that's a nice thought.
Not that I'm a pessimist, by any means, because I think people really can make a difference in the lives of others. Can one person change the world? They can for sure.

Fight for a cause. Fight for something that’ll make the world a better place. I’m not talking about writing research papers for English class or signing online petitions. I mean giving money, forming groups, making signs and parading around with them, writing letters, and spreading the word. It doesn’t have to make waves and it doesn’t have to consume your entire life.
