"Outside - Staind"

And you,
Can bring me to my knees
Again
All the times
That I could beg you please
In vain
All the times
That I felt insecure
For you
And I leave
My burdens at the door

But I'm on the outside
And I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you

Have you ever heard a song which made you stop and think to yourself, "Wow, if everyone just listened, really listened to this song, the world would be a better place"? Well, here's one of them.

"Do you feel the weight of the world singing sorrow?
Or to you is it just not real?"

These are lyrics that i wrote that i think we can all conect with. We have all been hurt before and possibly discrinated or stabbed in the back by even the people we love the most. If you do connect in some way to anything i ever write please let me know. Even if you dont. I appreciate the feedback

At The Bottom of Everything Part 3: Fearing That Which Keeps Us Safe

[At the Bottom of Everything Part 1]
[At the Bottom of Everything Part 2]

And in the face of every criminal
Strapped firmly to a chair
We must stare, we must stare, we must stare

Justice.

It’s stupid to talk about; it’s a pointless cliché, because unfortunately, in most situations, it is nonexistent.

[ At the Bottom of Everything Part 1: The Evils of Technology ]

We Must Rip Out All The Epilogues From The Books That We Have Read

Staring at the ceiling is a common occurrence in our society.

Or...

Staring at the ceiling is a commonly chosen alternative to finalization.

Many of us are, by nature, procrastinators. While we strive to know "the end" and to have closure in a situation, we are really nothing unless we're left staring at the ceiling and wondering.

Listening to my Bright Eyes album, I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning, I came across the song At the Bottom of Everything and couldn't help but get lost in the thoughts that each line brought to my mind.

I've heard the song a thousand times, but for some reason, when I was listening to the song the other night, I was inspired to articulate the thoughts brought upon by the song, and what better place than ProU to post those thoughts?

"This fear in love has turned me the wrong way"

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •

The title is lyrics from a song that I used to always listen to, like a couple years ago. I am still trying to figure out what exactly the lyrics could mean, but to me they are saying that having a fear of loving a person can change you and sometimes it might be for the worst. I sometimes feel like after being hurt once it is kinda always in the back of my head that it could happen again.
