ever notice that all the writings in library books are of this oddly sophisticated, elevated cursive handwriting that is hardly legible? and the highlighting and underlining seems to be at random intervals, skipping the analysis and facts and focusing on the transitions between the two?  Read More »

They know I'm bad. The librarians, with their old-fashioned dark-rimmed glasses, and around-the-neck cords, stare at me with their piercing eyes. I've seen them around since I was a little kid growing up in Queens, New York.
